The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has fined Tunisian football
heavyweights Etoile Du Sahel $5000 (about N1m) for their bad sporting
behaviour against Enyimba in the CAF Champions League.
The
Coach of Etoile, Faouzi Benzarti and player, Ahmed Akaichi were also
suspended for four-matches for using offensive language and hurling
insults towards the referee in the first leg in Port Harcourt against
Enyimba.
This punishment was announced in a
statement by Africa's football ruling body, CAF, yesterday after it's
disciplinary committee handed out punishments to players, coaches and
federations who erred in the various CAF competitions in the last three
months.
