Yesterday, June 11, 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) organisers told us they would be streaming live to over two billion viewers worldwide.
The concerned ones were like wow?!
Even this year’s Super Bowl show which saw Beyoncé perform was estimated to have gotten 114.4 million viewers, while the 2016 Academy Awards which held at Dolby Theater in Hollywood had 34.3 million viewers.
After the HUGE claim, we hoped for the best-ever edition after 12 years, knowing the world population has only exceeded 7 billion four years ago according to United States Census Bureau.
Multiple reports have now claimed the movie ceremony didn’t meet up expectation (as in it FLOPPED) and we hope you aren’t one those that felt disappointed.

‘From the event itself, its protracted light-outs, its boring hosts, to its live transmission and social media coverage, the 12th AMAA night was one to forget for almost everyone involved’ – Nigerian journalist, ‘Segun Odejimi remarked.
Let us know what you think.
Are you among the ‘2 Billion viewers’ that enjoyed AMAA 2016?
